Just a couple of things

I have a couple of things to talk about this time.

First of all, my alma mater.
Nouvel Catholic Central.
They recently captured the 2006 State Championship for their division in Football. Now, the girls' basketball team is going on to play at the Michigan State Breslin Center for the semi-final game. This feels like my sophomore year all over again. One catch, they actually won the football game! Hopefully, basketball can get there too. I can't deny the fact that my junior and senior years had football teams with just as good of chances. When it comes down to it, winning a championship is a bunch of little things that when you add them all up you get success. I would be foolish to say that I think this team is so much better than teams in the past. However, it's all about getting it done, and teams before had the chance, but this team got to do it. In past years, key players have been injured which can really sway the outcome of a season. So congratulations to them for finally getting it done. I also can't deny the fact that as far as tennis goes, I was apart of two of the best years in Nouvel history. I was a part of the first team to win a regional championship, beat Heritage, and placed the best at States. As long as I have that, I will continue to cheer for the other teams. Good luck to girls' basketball, I hope you can finish it. I'm just excited that it's at the Bres!

The Cata Bus System
I have a strong complaint to make about the Cata Bus system. Mike and I had to make a quick bus trip to the Meridian Mall area so that he could buy a new cell phone charger.
We were strapped for time, and it was essential that we catch the bus in a quick fashion. However, when the #1 bus approached, instead of slowing down to a stop, it passed by us with more speed than ever before. Why didn't the bus stop? Didn't it see that we needed a ride? We were at the proper place, at the proper time, with the proper identification and money to ride. I feel like there was a huge injustice here. I'm quite upset. Do not be fooled by my image in my blog. The Cata bus did NOT let us board, nor did it even give us a chance.

Speaking of the bus, ever notice that there are always the classic types of people waiting for the bus? Depending on when you are going to ride, you can always count on these people. There is always antsy man. Antsy man has his hands in his pockets, and he's doing a side shuffle all around the bus stop. He paces back and forth, he checks his watch frequently. He has somewhere really important to go. If he's sitting down, he'll get up at the first sight or sound of the bus. Antsy man needs to calm down. Then there is always a girl in the bus stop, talking on her phone, even if no one is on the other line, they portray that image anyway. Another key bus rider is the old man. The old man makes you wonder...why doesn't he have a car? He usually has some wise crack about how "little kiddies" need to vacate their seats in the elderly/handicapped section once he boards. If you are riding on a weekend night, the bus stop gets a face lift. It's over crowded with large groups of inhebriates. The last time I experienced this was Halloween. I saw a kid that was dressed as a sailor, but I told him if he took his hat off he'd have Nouvel uniform on. Another kid was from my math class, and gave me his full name and told me to request him on facebook. Needless to say, I never requested him and when I see him in math I always feel awkward. The bus stop, and the ride itself, is always a great chance to see people from different walks of life. You are always, ALWAYS guarenteed some sort of odd or awkward occurence. One last story- a guy and his friend get on the bus, and runs into someone he clearly knew from his past. The person from his past says 'hey you look really good! have you lost weight'. That's fine, that's a nice compliment, until he went on to say 'yeah you used to be really fat!'. I tell you, not only within the public transportion system, but with college in general, you will hear things you never thought were fathomable. It's called public school talk. Get used to it now!

I knew I liked San Diego when I saw it.
San Diego is banning the construction of large retail stores such as super walmart. That's amazing. I can't stress enough how much I hate wal-mart. I mean, yes, it's always good for a cheap deal. However, not only do they put little stores and services out of business, but they attract the strangest people, the lines are always long, there are always snot-nosed kids running every which way under the supervision of abusive parents, long check out lines, incompetent workers...the list goes on. I applaud San Diego.

OMG, Shoes.
This youtube movie that I just recently saw is a quotable hit. This movie rules! Let's party.
Warning: it get's a little weird after he exclaims "Fuck you, fuck you, FUCK YOU!" ..you can't say you weren't warned. However, prior to that, I love this!

I'll leave you with that!
Peace out!
