As we come to the end...

As this week slowly continues, instead of become outraged and furious with the university you attend, embrace it. This is a week to achieve greatness people. We have a chance to do amazing on exams, test our knowledge and succeed! All with the known fact that Christmas break (or winter break, for you politically correct readers) is right around the corner.
Knowing this semester is over is knowing that 1/8 of my college career is over. 7/8 to go. Though I did only take Math 1825, I realize that is still quite a large fraction. However, it will go by fast, so while I'm here I'm going to love every second of it. The scenic running routes around campus, the Sparty mascot, the community bathrooms (sick), and just being here! There is so much to offer!

Here is a quick run down of: My First Semester

Math 1825. Math couldn't get more basic on the college level. I think our first day we learned how to add and subtract. This is when I first noticed a general difference in attitudes between public school kids and private school kids. Just an observation.

ISS 210. My first 8am class at State, and will probably be my worst of all time. Cy Stewart definitely believed he was the 2nd coming of Jesus from the way he talked about his life. I wouldn't take this class again if you paid me.

Sociology 101. My teacher was an adorable man that had to leave New Orleans after the hurricanes and came to teach here for a semester or two. His curve was amazing.

CEP 261 "Substance Abuse." This class was great, 3 hours a week hearing druggies discuss their criminalization history and the effects of opium. I'd take this one again for sure.

Study Tips

-Though Red Bull can become quite an expensive habit, I would recommend it. It will definitely give you wings and give you the extra advantage while studying and taking a test.

-Find a quiet place to study. This can become an extremely hard challenge once people start packing into the library. However I still prefer the library, as long as I can find a good spot to set up. Just make sure you don't get distracted.
Notice how this man is getting distracted by a camera. Find a place where there will be no photo ops.

- I would also suggest pluggin in the pod. Listen to a band like Coldplay. They are amazing, and I just wanted to shamelessly plug them.

Well, as for me, I have to go study. Regular bloggin' will continue once the exam week is over.

Oh and for you intense studiers, I'll leave you with this youtube. It's a warning not to take too many caffeine pills.

Peace out!
