for this:

In politics today, I finally registered to vote. Sadly my 18th birthday was September 12th, but being away at school I found it difficult to register in time for the last election for Governor. I would have had to come home to vote if I registered by mail and I had no time to register in person to do absentee. Anyway, now I'm all set to vote for elections, absentee or in the flesh. I urge everyone else to register too if they are 18 and haven't yet. It literally takes 2 minutes to do. Remember the scare tactics of the last Presidential election? They would have worked on me too considering I love celebs and such. Do you think Paris votes?

Who would have thought the backbone behind Danity Kane felt so strongly about voting? It's a real shame B.I.G. forgot to vote in the '96 election too because Diddy doesn't fuck around with that slogan. I'm Kidding. Obviously.

So what is new with tv lately? I have been watching The Simple Life goes to Camp. It is good but the ultimate Simple Life, as I'm sure others have realized, would be The Simple Life Goes to Jail or The Simple Life: All Locked Up. Would it have been too much to ask for to give Nicole Richie an identical sentence and serving time? Throw her and Paris in the same cell as roomies and give them a camera to record their stint in the slammer. Everyone in America is eating this whole Paris goes to jail shit up with a spoon so I'm sure this would be one hell of a hit reality show. I'll just have to settle for the alternative: a memoir from Paris describing her 45 days spent behind bars.

They would have to trade those pink scrubs for some orange prison suits.
Celebrity Gossip has become the frontrunner in my life as #1 time occupier. I don't know if this is sad, weird or awesome. I think it's all three rolled into one. Anyway Kelly Clarkson fired her manager, John Mayer and Jessica are off and on, Pete Wentz punched someone....I'm definitely seeing some interesting people this summer for the "Summer of Music" Concert Series.
Fall Out Boy

Fall Out Boy headlines a tour with a lineup consisting of Paul Wall, +44, The Academy Is, and Cobra Starship. To be honest, I wouldn't know what any of these people looked like sans the former Blink-182 members in +44 and Pete Wentz of FOB. But the music was all that mattered at this concert so I wasn't too disappointed. FOB played an energetic set. For one night, and one more time...I became a Pete Wentz teeny boppin lover because I thought if Ashlee can love this emo kid, maybe I can too. Thankfully the pseudo-crush was like the stage coach in Cinderella that turned into a pumpkin again at Midnight. I guess being at the FOB concert made me want to play the part of punk rock teen queen. I didn't mean to step on Avril Lavigne's toes or anything. Aside from Fall Out Boy, the other bands were great too. I was previously familiar with Cobra Starship and The Academy Is and +44 sang a Blink song or two. The best part about going to a concert of a band you like is when you get some awesome opening acts to go along with it. Thnks fr th mmrs Fll T By!
I'm going to the KCQ country music fest AND The Fray on Saturday, both free of charge so I couldn't pass it up. I will let you know how those concerts pan out in a future entry.
The rest of my schedule includes John with Ben Folds, and Kelly with Mat Kearney.
Things I would like to and plan to eventually blog about:
-Recent movies viewed
-Las Vegas
-random news blips and happenings in my life
Keep your fingers crossed that I get a job. Hopefully it's a job with an interesting crew of people to work with so that I can elaborate on awkward stories and funny happenings.
I will try to update more often.
Peace Out Fan Base of 2 people.
