John Mayer, Live at the Palace of Auburn Hills

(photo from John Mayer's 2004 Breslin Center performance in East Lansing, MI. Used without permission from The State News, whoops.)

If the opportunity arises to see John Mayer live in concert, I would strongly suggest not even hesitating about it. He's just one of the most amazing performers, and though one may find me biased, I feel like he is just up there as one of the top performers of our generation. Energetic, soulful, connecting to the audience, talented guitar playing.

I can't forget to say that during his first two songs his guitar had an apple sticker on it (kudos to mac users).

He is just unforgettable.
Probably better than seeing him at the Breslin Center.
Did an amazing job at mixing up his cds - Room for Squares, Heavier Things, JM Trio, and Continuum.

The one thing I have to disagree with was his question of what we wanted to hear next. He then asked if we wanted to hear Comfortable, then Split Screen Sadness then Stop this Train. He told us to vote by screaming loud. Well hearing COmfortable OR Split Screen Sadness LIVE are goals of mine that seem fairly unachievable. It would have been LEGENDARY to hear either one live, but he sang Stop This Train which I think was planned in the set all along anyway. It could have been great, why does he tease me like this?!

Here is the set list. Asterisks indicate if I got teary eyed during the performance (out of pure joy)
